A Thanksgiving for Hurricane Sandy Victims

There are many on the East Coast still without power, heat, the basics … as the temperatures drop, Liquid Church is working round the clock with both relief agencies and their lead teams to serve & feed those in need.

In addition to serving & meeting some basic needs, Liquid Church has created a massive outreach project called “#SandyThanksgiving” — in which your church can donate a Special Offering to help provide meals & relief supplies for families-in-need impacted by Sandy. These efforts will mobilize 1000+ volunteers to serve a few communities over Thanksgiving weekend.

Here are three ways you can help the #SandyThanksgiving effort for our friends in Jersey …

Consider hosting a special offering to support this effort. Here, you’ll find a bevy of resources that will help you create this campaign – video announcements, emails, letters, song suggestions, etc. to help you facilitate this special offering.

Consider joining them in their efforts on the ground. Right now, Liquid Church is mobilizing a small army for Thanksgiving weekend to provide meals, distribute relief supplies and clean out homes in a few communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy. You and your teams can sign up to join them here.

Consider helping them publicize this initiative. You can help bring hope to the people of New Jersey by helping Liquid Church get the word out to as many people as possible. If you have a blog, are on twitter or facebook, please share the link www.sandythanksgiving.com or tweet using #sandythanksgiving  to your network. This will build the community of people involved in this initiative.

We remain in prayer for those affected by Hurricane Sandy and are effort to join the coalition of churches supporting this effort. Join this partnership by serving, giving or publicizing
