Stepping It Up To Serve Even Better

After 20 years of helping more than 1,700 churches turn their vision into full-fledged ministry, we’re eager to step up our operations to do even more. What could be better than seeing even more churches plant and start operating successfully? But if we’re going to love the church well as we take on more projects, we’re going to need some help.

That’s why we hired Jim Smiley this month as our Director of Operations. With more than 15 years of experience in project management,  engineering project leadership and quality assurance with companies ranging from Ford to Electronic Data Systems, Jim knows what he’s doing. He’s putting his vast knowledge to work for us and the portable church–and his timing couldn’t be better.

We’ve been thrilled to see portable churches planted all over the country, and demand is on the rise. Church planters are keenly aware of the advantages of renting out spaces like movie theaters, school buildings and the like: lower costs, the ability to operate in the very center of their target population and a ton of flexibility. And with Portable Church Industries solving the stress and logistical nightmares that used to accompany these advantages, the portable church is exploding. Church planters no longer have to deal with the overwhelming details that devour limited time, energy and resources. With the old barriers gone, more ministry is possible and that’s exciting.

Planting a church is more efficient and more possible than ever. But there’s still so much more to do.

Jim’s experience and knowledge will not only increase our operations but will ensure that the quality of our work is never compromised as we get more done. With Jim’s help, we’ll be able to continue to not only serve the church, but to serve it well.

Bringing on Jim Smiley and adding a second shift means we can do more so that more churches can get to the good stuff. More ministry, more church planting, more focusing on what matters. It means less turnaround time for new systems, better maintenance of the churches we’ve already helped launch and ultimately, more people finding what they need in a church that can focus on caring for them.

We love the church. And we are so excited that, with Jim’s help, we’ll be able to care for and serve church planters better than ever!
